We are hiring temp to hire Accounting Clerk to work for a luxury candle brand in Irvine, CA!
Responsibilities:
-Prepare asset, liability, and equity account entries by collecting and analyzing account information
-Document financial transactions by entering account information
-Recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting options
-Summarize current financial status by gathering information; prepare the balance sheet, income statement and other reports
-Support financial transactions by auditing documents
-Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures
-Guide accounting administrative staff coordinating activities and answering questions
-Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
-Secure financial information by completing database backups
-Verify, assign, post, and reconcile transactions
-Generate error-free accounting reports and present your results
-Analyze financial information and summarize financial statement
-Provide technical support and management advice
-Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and generally accepted accounting procedures
-Participate in the establishment of financial standards and the forecasting process
-Provide information on the department's goal setting process
-Prepare financial statements and produce a budget according to schedule
-Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance
-Plan, assign and review the work of the staff
-Support the month-end and year-end closing process
-Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
-Communicate effectively with customers
-Contribute to a strong customer relationship through positive interactions with customer staff
-Communicate with the Manager and / or Director about the status of the work and customer issues that arise
Schedule:
-1st Shift: 8am - 5pm
